It is about movement. A few weeks ago, I started running. Day by day, I got better and at some stage I experienced the unexpected (since I did not really believe in it): A RUNNER'S HIGH.
Movement is what clears up your mind. It gets your lymph going. It makes you smile. It makes you tired (who said it was a bad thing?). It makes you appreciate your body. How it functions, how it keeps up with your tempo. Whether it is running, cycling, boxing, dancing or climbing, movement is beneficial and this is my starting point to this blog. Because I really liked that runner's high and I want more.
It is about movement and about nutrition. I've been trying to lose weight for a while now and it has not been working for me, especially in the last few months. Now, with more movement, I hope things to change for me and the fat to start disappearing.
It is about movement, about nutrition and about your soul. Do you love your body? Or do you tend to blame it, shame it, call it names? I know I do all three and do not want to anymore. I want to treat my body like a good friend. And to be grateful for how much it has been taking me through so far.
About my movement: I do yoga (Ashtanga), I run, I am about to begin bouldering, I cycle/go spinning.
About my nutrition: I am gluten, soy and lactose intolerant. I eat very little meat (once in 1-2 weeks). I mostly eat vegan, low fat, low sugar, high in vegetables. I eat according to Traditional Chinese Medicine. More on all this soon!
About me: 28, female, employed, in a relationship. I live in Berlin and love it here.
